Water based drilling cuttings treatment

GN designed vertical G dryer waste management system can be used as both water and oil based drilling cuttings, and also the area test outcome is demonstrated effective. The conventional vertical G dryer drilling waste management system including: verti-G dryer GNCD930D-VFD, decanter centrifuge GNLW363CG-VFD, Nemo pump GNG30-075 for feeding the centrifuge, Nemo pump GNG10A-040 for flushing the VFD decanter centrifuge and vertical cuttings dryer, oilfield 3-runner design skid, V type liquids collection tank and some spare parts. This kind tank is for easy tank bottom cleaning and preventing accumulation of solids to the tank bottom.


We've specifically designed drilling waste management system for water drilling cuttings, the advantage to try to get this technique is:

1 Use Hi-G dryer to rather than Vertical G dryer, decreasing cost and less the facility consumption

European Customer visited GN factory to check the Solids Control System before Delivery

GN solids control is experienced in solids control system for gas and oil drilling. Every year, GN designs and manufactures many solids control system, for example 4 set solids control system for COSL, and one set for a European customer. Lately, the European customer visited GN factory to check the solids control system for gas and oil drilling. This product is almost finished, and prepared for delivery.


Within this solids control system, you will find 7 tanks including one small trip tank and small pill tank, and five large tanks: the first is shale shaker tank in which the first stage and 2nd&3rd stage mud dealing equipment are mounted and then it's active tank in which the 4th stage mud dealing devices are installed. And then it's shear tank where mixing hoppers with shear pump are mounted, and then it's mixing tank where two mixing hopper and 2 centrifugal pumps are mounted, the 2 pump connected in parallel. Regarding towards the mud dealing equipment, the very first stage is shale shaker which separates large solids out, normally over 100 microns the 2nd & 3rd stage devices are mud cleaner with desander cyclones to get rid of contaminants over 40 microns out, and desilter cyclones to get rid of contaminants over 20 microns out. Then towards the 4th mud dealing equipmentthere are 2 sets of decanter centrifuge, the first is middle speed that will remove solids form 5 microns to 7 microns out the second centrifuge is high-speed decanter centrifuge that will separate ultra-fine solids out normally from 2 microns to five microns.  After processed, the mud is going to be clean enough to become used again. As needed, it will likely be sheared or included the 3rd and 4th tank.

GNMS-1000D Slurry Separation System for TBM and Piling

Cleaning cycle of drilling fluid

Concept: The drilling fluid cleaning cycle is to remove the harmful solid debris, reserve the clean drilling fluid to meet the demand of drilling fluid spec under the drilling process. Drilling fluid cleaning system is the term of all drilling fluid solids control equipments used in the oil drilling.


Function: To prevent the oil well from clogging, breaking, and decrease the drilling torque and friction resistance, reduce the pressure fluctuations of the hollow suction, increase the drilling speed, extend the drilling bit life, and reduce wear and tear of the equipments. Methods: The common methods are mixture-thin methods, swap methods, machine methods and additive-chemical methods. Use different separation function machinery is  machine method is by using screening, centrifugal separation and gravity separation to separate the solid phase according to the different size and density, therefore, to control the solid phase in the drilling fluid.
