One Team, One Dream-GN Excellent Staff Awarded Trip to Thailand

Last week, a team of Chinese visitors arrived to Thailand to enjoy a one week journey to another country as an award from the company, they are from GN Solids Control, China, and their company is the Top manufacturer in drilling solids control and drilling waste management in China.

Look back to last year, the economy is always a tragic topic, but even in this year, GN Solids Control did a good work and got satisfactory result as following:

1.       GN Solids Control was awarded High-Tech Technology Company from the government.

2.       GN Solids Control got big order from world giant oil service companies, even in the bad economic situation.

3.       GN updated model of Decanter centrifuge, Vertical cuttings dryer and shale shaker were put on show in March in Beijing.

4.       GN second factory was put into use with advanced producing equipment and GN new screen producing line was ready.

GN Solids Control is a 100% private owned company, but GN’s boss never thought to keep the wealth to himself. He is a man who likes to share. It is GN’s tradition that at the annual celebrating party, company gives award to the excellent employees, mostly are bonus in cash and each year, there are special fund for buying cars for excellent staff or directly gives a car to some. He encourages his staff to enjoy the life and suggest them how to enjoy it. Last year, besides the car, the bonus and cash, there’s a new award as to have a trip outside China.

Last week, some GN staff went to Thailand to relax and have a good time, in near future, another team from GN will go to Europe.

We have reason to believe, a good company is a good team, a team who share same dream and goal. Let’s do things better.

Functions of Poor boy degasser for oil & gas drilling

Poor boy degasser, also called mud gas separately, it is a normal equipment in mud solids control system for onshore and offshore rigs. We can see from the name, the main function of poor boy degasser is to separate gas from drilling mud. There normally big quality air bubble in the drilling mud. The air bubble may damage the solids control equipment, like mud cleaner, desander, desilter. Another reason, and the most important reason, there normally dangerous gas consisted in the air bubble, if it is comes out with mud and spread the environment, it will make pollution and hurt the operation people at jobsite.

Different design Poor boy degasser for onshore and offshore oil & gas drilling

There mainly 2 types design Poor boy degasser for onshore and offshore oil & gas drilling.

Design 1: Atmosphere type poor boy degasser

Features of Atmosphere type poor boy degasser: there will be 5~10 m or more longer vent line on top of poor boy degasser. It is used to pipe the gas into the atmosphere directly. 

Design 2: Ignition type poor boy degasser

Features of Ignition type poor boy degasser: Ther dangerous gas in drilling mud is H2S. It is combustible gas. After fire, it changes out to harmless gas and can be discharged directly. There will be 50m ~ 100m vent line to guide the gas to remote area. There will be a flare igniter connected with the vent line and fire the gas while it comes out. 

Flare ignition Device for Poor boy degasser for onshore and offshore oil & gas drilling

As a kind of security and environmental protection device, the flare igniter can be used to make the harmful gas ignited and burned to prevent it pollute environment. The flare ignition device, apart from being used in the refinery and gas distribution station, can be matched with Mud Gas Separator.
